3 Male Birthday Cards

Hello Everyone,

Hope this finds you all well, feeling much better today with my eyes, the drops are working, yeah! This has given me chance to finish these 3 male birthday cards off.

I have used white card stock to make the square cards, Green card stock for one card, Brown card stock for the other two cards, white card stock for all 3 cards, ribbons, gems, sentiments, Spectrum Noir pens for colouring the image in and of course the wooden rubber stamp Ye Ole Fishin Hole, lucky enough all 3 men are fisherman and the image is quite a laugh when you look close enough.

Crafts and Me Week 70 Challenge - Use a New Image

Hello Folks,

What a chilly one it is again but at least no snow here enough though the weather men are still talking about the big freeze staying around until March!

Well I decided especially as I can not get onto FB that I would continue with this week's Craft and Me Challenge which is to use a image that you have bought but not yet used. Lucky enough for me I still had this gorgeous rubber stamp to play with which is by Crafts and Me called Crimson Rose. I have used white card stock to make the square card, Wild Rose Studio - Letters From Paris x 3 patterned papers, Coredinations Malaysian Orchid coloured card stock, Bazzill Basics Cream card stock, image coloured with Spectrum Noir pens Numbers, 0, 175, 38, 132, 133, 142, 196, 137, 147, 88, 104, 100, 96, 48, 175, 163, lace, flowers, pearls, Marianne D Diecut Swirls, Cuttlebug, Filigree Gold Corners, sentiments to be added at a later date.

Crafts and Me Week 69 Brighten Up Your Day Challenge

It's a bright sunshiny day here, still chilly but at least all the snow has nearly melted now, thank god! Well I have finally got round to finishing this challenge which is for a family members birthday, just have to put sentiments on later.

I have used white card stock to make the square card, Prima Jack n Jill Sunny Meadow double sided patterned paper, Coredination Love Potin, Spectrum Noir pens numbers 132, 133, 142, 196, 104, 100, 96, 175, 48, 163, 43, 137, 147, 88, 169, 0, 109, flowers, various gem stones, cuttlebug, spellbinders shapes, Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch and of course a rather lovely Crafts and Me rubber stamped image called Night Blossom.

2 Hearts Cards for Valentines

Hellooo Folks,

Sorry not been around much, do have plenty of cards on the go but going at it gradually due to my eye problems. Dont want to over do it and make them really sore again. Hubbie has asked me if I would make a choice of Valentines Day cards for him to choose from which I dont mind, would rather make them then have him spend money on shop ones especially as he treats me to crafting bits and bobs every now and again.

Here is the first two of a batch of six, I have used brown card stock, pink card stock, gem stones, flowers, lace, sentiments to be added later, 2 lovely Simply Sassy images and some My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Madison Avenue patterned papers.

Green Nightmare

Well today I have this card to show you, I totally adore these patterned papers but I forgot that green seems to give me trouble and trouble it was all yesterday I kept going to and fro from it! Sadly it has not turned out the way I wanted it but never mind, will have to try again with these papers, perhaps a different layout might help you never know.

Crafts and Me Week 66 p.3 Anything Goes Challenge

Hellooo Folks,

Sorry not been around, have found it hard to get motivated plus I have been suffering with an eye problem yet again. It seems for several years now the problem reappears of the year but mostly round about this time of year, either I am allergic to something or its a stress issue due to Christmas, but luckily enough I have found a home remedy that makes it feel easioer on a drs website. Use a warm washcloth over the eyes for 10-15 minutes for 4-6 times a day, it works I have started to next it easing on Wednesday which has allowed me to enough feel better to craft.

Whinge over so now down to business, for my final entry to this challenge I have made a card which I will probably use as a birthday card. I have used white card stock to make the square card, Prima Londonery patterned papers x 3, Bazzill Basics Dark Blue card stock, Bazzill Basics Cream, Gem Stones, Cream Lace, Flowers, Spectrum Noir pens numbers 132, 133, 142, 196, 104, 100, 96, 14, 0, 175, 109, 43, 35, 33, 24, 37, 178 and of course the lovely Crafts and Me rubber stamped image called Clematis. The layout was something I tried before but could not get to grips with it as its by another crafter known to many as the lovely, very talented Coops.

Just thought I would quickly pop in to wish you a very safe, happy New Years Eve, do enjoy yourselves tonight but please take care and I wish you all a very Happy New Year for tomorrow.

I also have my second item to show you for this challenge which is my calendar. I have used 6 sheets of white card stock for printing the main calendar on, 1 sheet of white card stock cut to size for the picture which I have hole punched to put openable rings in to connect it all together plus for hanging. I hope that the festive season will be all that you wish for and much more for you all, I have left this posting until today as I wanted to send you all these wishes as I may not get another chance after today, you know what its like, busy, busy, busy.

Brrrr Folks,

Its cold certainly and I dont like it nor does our poor car which is refusing to work, rotten automatic choke looks like it given up the ghost!

So I have decided to try and complete so quick christmas cards, mind you brain is on the go slow too it seems.

As promised I am back with the current Crafts and Me challenge which is Snow/Snowflakes, quite convenient for me as I wished to make a Christmas card as I have been asked by my hubbie to make a selection of Christmas cards so he can choose one for me. I dont mind making them for him as I know I will get something that I like plus its a benefit too as he does buy me every now and again bits and pieces for my crafting as a treat, love him lots as he is such a sweetie.

Its a bright but chilly morning here today but its better than what poor Scotland has received in the last 24 hours!

I have made this card for a friend I have known for more than 20 years who happens to have been very poorly for quite a while and I thought it might cheer her up a bit, lets hope so as she has been through such a bad time of late.

5 Calendars and 2 Quick Xmas Cards

Been busy here, its that time of year where its all go and I have finally finished the batch of calendars that I had started last week, yeah at last!

I have used white card stock to print the calendars from a free calendar site, white card stock to make the base of the calendar, coloured card stock, patterned papers, ribbon, gem stones, flowers, cropadile with rings, gold thread and some lovely images coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

I have also make a couple of quick Xmas Cards using white card stock to make square cards, patterned papers, ribbon, flowers, gem stones, sentiments and some lovely Crafts and Me images coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

Calendar for My Hubbie

Hello Folks,

Yes I know its Sunday evening and I normally dont post or do any crafting over the weekend, but I managed to squeeze in a little bit of time to finish this one calendar and thought I would quickly pop on to show you all.

I have used 7 sheets of white card stock, 6 for the calendar section which I had already set up on my pc but with lots of info on for myself and all I had to do with remove the info ie birthdays etc relevant to me as this is a gift for my lovely hubbie who looks after me so well. Once I had got all that sorted I just had to print them out, 2 months per sheet which I then cut in half down the middle to separate the months, hole punch, add lines so hubbie could write on it, add circular clips. The second sheet cut into 2 and cut them into square sizes, add together to make it thicker, hole punch for top and bottom, add month sheets to bottom, add circular clips to top with gold thick thread. I have then used deep green card stock, cream bling card stock, deep green patterned paper, white with green patterns paper, green organza ribbon, gem stones, sentiments, Spectrum Noir pens and a lovely fishing rubber stamp as my hubbie is an all round fisherman to complete the calender.

I am rather pleased with the outcome and so is my hubbie who has just received this gift which he had kindly mentioned he would like to receive. So until next time do take care and happy crafting, lol

Easel Calender Card

What a miserable couple of days, its misty fog and rather damp here and so have decided to continue with my crafting.

Stationery Box Card

Hi Folks,

This post is about a gift I have made for a good friend of mine's niece who loves to write as well as loves the colour orange. I decided to make a Stationery Box Card by adepting the Wallet Card which you will find how to make on 28/04/2009, to hold some writing materials in.

I have used white card stock to make the box card, using my Spectrum Noir Pen 109 I have shaded it cream, I have added orange organza ribbon on the sides to tie it closed, also laying another layer of card stock to hide the attaching of this ribbon. I have then made the front scene by using black card stock, vanilla cream card stock, 3 different patterned papers of Memory Box Nightfall, cream lace, gem stones, sentiments, flowers, and of course the gorgeous Crafts and Me rubber stamped image Belladonna coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

20 Quick Xmas Cards

Just a quick post as I have another one to do which is much more important than this one. I have used small rectangle cards for these and just kept them very basic as they are meant for quickness, using coloured card stock, 2 patterned papers per card, ribbon, cuttlebug, spellbinders snowflakes diecut, brads, the small three stamped images for each card, Spectrum Noir Pens.

Hope this finds all of you doing well, not getting very far this week as I still have 20 cards to complete but I will get there in the end.

I decided to get this challenge sorted out first though especially as I was itching to use this lovely new rubber stamp. I am rather pleased with how this one has turned out, it seems that these new rubber stamps are so much easier to use as well as a real delight to look at.

Tissue Box

Hi Folks,

What a sad start to the new week, I dedicate this to those that lost their lives or injured in that bad accident on the M5, may those that survive heal quickly and my thoughts go out to those who have lost loved ones.

I thought I would make another tissue box in my favourite colours as I could do with one on my work desk and I could not turn down the idea of using one of my new rubber stamps as they are so gorgeous.

Evening Acceptance

Hi Folks,

I'm back again, yeah got the acceptance finished just need to purchase some sentiments for it. I have made a rectangle card with white card stock, chocolate bling card stock, cream bling card stock, double sided wedding patterned paper, ribbon, flowers, gem stones, EK Success Edge Punch, cuttlebug, Marianne D Swirls diecut, sheet of punch with printed words for inside card and of course the lovely LOTV bride and groom image coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

I thought the image was rather sweet and yet matched the idea of the patterned papers, only difference is the age of the bride and groom, hehehe.

I have used white card stock to make the square cards, 2 sets of card stock per card, 2 different double sided patterned papers per card one being striped the other hippie type, sentiments, card candy, flowers, gem stones, cuttlebug, Marianne D swirls diecut and of course 2 lovely images one called Hippie Chick and the other is a digi called Keicea - Sureya both coloured using my Spectrum Noir Pens.

Hello Folks,

I have finally got there with the Crafts and Me challenge, mind you the flowers did not turn up until yesterday and I was too busy to even get near the card then. I am extremely pleased with this one and am finally getting the hang of the colouring of images I think.

I have used white card stock to make a square card, deep lilac card stock, cream card stock, 3 different patterns of Moulin Rouge paper, sentiments, flowers of different sizes and colours, ribbon lace, cuttlebug, Marianne D swirls diecut and of course a lovely rubber stamped image from Crafts and Me called Follow Me coloured with Spectrum Noir pens, sorry forget to write the numbers down.

I dont have anything to show this week, do have 3 cards awaiting embellies but my flowers that I ordered have not turned up yet, hope they come soon as I would like to get them finished especially this weeks Crafts and Me Challenge which is add flowers.
I have been busy in the garden emptying the baskets as the plants had gone over, plus I have made my Christmas cake and also done some pickled eggs for christmas.

Hi Folks,

Its Friday again, where has the week gone and I am still having trouble leaving messages on other blogs, its seems to be something do with the fact blogger has changed their system and it no longer supports the internet that I use, need to have google chrome I believe. No changed to that because everytime I do mess with my pc something goes wrong and I really find it hard to sort it back out, maybe sometime in the future I will be brave enough to try, we'll see.

Oh well the real reason for being on here, well first let me tell you as I am unable to leave messages for you lovely crafters, what an inspiration you are to me with all your gorgeous designs, it encourages me to keep pushing myself to try harder and make my crafting more exciting.

For this challenge as it also needed to be black and white I have used white card stock to make a rectangle card, EK Success Edge Punch Wavy Dotted Scallop, Coredinations Nightfall, Bazzill Basics Cream, Daisy Bucket Designs Little Black Dress - Dinner With Friends Double sided plus edge, flowers, sentiments, various gem stones and of course that adorable and rather versatile rubber stamped image from Crafts and Me called Belle of Bon Adventures by Jasmine Becket-Griffith coloured with Spectrum Noir Pens.

MC 122 Challenge

Hello Everyone,

As promised I am back with the next Monday Challenge, had problems with this one, ended up colouring in four of the images and still could not decide the colour. Therefore I asked my hubbie to choose which he believed to be the best colour as I did the dress in shades of pink, shades of light blue, shades of turquoise and shades green.

Well Hi Folks,

I'm back, hopefully refreshed but what miserable weather, mind you did not let it stop us as we went to several seasides over the week and at the weekend we went blackberry picking even though we had got caught out with several showers. But am pleased to say the two of us picked 7.5kg of blackberries which are now jam, yummmy.

Down to business then, I have made 3 quick cards using this layout. I have used white card stock to make the square cards, 2 different coloured card stocks for each card, 3 different patterned papers for each card, gem stones, card candy, sentiments, spectrum noir pens and 3 lovely digi images and these are all for 3 males, yeah!

Week 45 Challenge - Ribbon inspired by Creative Coops

Hi Folks,

I decided that this challenge I would use a layout that inspired me so much by another crafter called Creative Coops but sadly I could not do it justice but I tried my best.

I have made 2 cards I can not decide which is best, I suppose each to their own. I have used white card stock to make the square cards, 3 patterned papers per card, 2 coloured card stocks per card, ribbon, cuttlebug, embossing folder swiss dots that I so love, flowers, gem stones, sentiments, card candy and a lovely rubber stamped image called Bat Wings and Boots, what a fab image it is too.

Perhaps folks you could tell me which one is best as I got a bit frustrated with these especially the pink one as part of it stuck sky whiff which is rather annoying but then is it more the stripes and spots with my eye sight, I just dont know.

Sorry not done any crafting until today folks, had lots on my mind what with my back and car troubles, grrrrr. Hopefully by the early tonight the car will be back on the road again, praying and praying that it will be as a busy weekend and will none of it will be possible without the car.

I have been waiting for my craft papers to turn up since Monday and they finally arrived today so I could make this card.

I thought I would use the lovely rubber stamp by Crafts and Me called Genevieve as she is so gorgeous and suits my mood. I have also used, Marianne Design Creatables: frames-swirls, Core'dinations 12x12: love potion , My Mind's Eye - Lush: Fuchsia stripe both sides as double sided, Basic Grey Sweet Thread collection: Lacy organic one side as double sided, Bazzill Bling: string of pearls, Bazzill Bling: glass slipper, flowers, card candy, brads and sentiments.

Week 43 Challenge Summer plus one other

Well Hi Folks,

Hope this finds you all well, not done much this week as my back is giving me hell again, too much crafting hahaha! So I have decided I nice little rest this week, but well I could not just leave it at that as I have been working on ideas for new layouts.

So I have made 2 cards for this week and the first one is a male card. I have used white card stock to make a square card, bitter chocolate card stock, cream card stock, 3 co ordinating backing papers, ribbon, flowers, card candy, sentiments and a car digi image. Its not come out too bad but will need to play with this layout a bit more to get it just right at another time.

The last card I have made is for the summer challenge which I have used white card stock to make the square card, bright pink card stock, cream card stock, bright pink striped patterned paper, cream with bright pink dots patterned paper, cream with pink flowers and butterflies patterned paper and cream with pale green stripes plus pink flowers with stems patterned papers. Also I have used severals flowers, gem stones, cuttlebug, embossing folder swiss dots, ribbon, brads, peel off sentiments and a gorgeous rubber stamped image called Petal Melody.

The whole card reminds me of the my garden in the summer with such bright flowers like petunias and am pleased with this one especially as there are lots of patterned papers involved making it more complicated. Week 42 Challenge - Favourites

Hi Folks,

This is the last post of the week, think I have done enough crafting for this week and I have decided to have a break until Monday.

So I decided I would have a go at this week's Crafts & Me challenge, well choose a favourite image, eek, not an easy one when I lots of lovely images to play with and I adore them all. So I decided one choosing 3 of my new ones, Genenvieve, Alice in Chains and the cheeky Devastatia. I had hoped that Genevieve would be my favourite but am unhappy with the ribbon colour, but then it was my first attempt at this layout and was not sure I was going for that deep purple look but I tried to use some card candy in a similar colour to the ribbon.

Well never mind I still love them all but what to choose as its a hard choice between the other two.

To make these cards I have used white card stock for the basic card, 2 different colours of card stock, 2 co ordinating patterned papers, cuttlebug, embossing folder swirls, ribbon, sentiments, flowers, brads, card candy and of course those fab images.

What a miserable day it is here, mind you must not complain we need the rain! I have been busy making 4 more cards, 2 I am going to show you now and one of the others later, the fourth well not soo keen on it.

The first one I am going to show you is with a lovely little digi image called The Infinate Star. I rather like this one myself, will admit it took 3 goes to colour her in as was not sure on the colour of the dress but I got there in the end.

Wk 38 Stamp Something - Tissue Boxes

Hi Folks,

Sorry not up to much as have managed to somehow get another dreaded ear infection but did start work on an idea earlier in the week and have finally finished it today and luckily enough it fits the bill for this challenge.

I spotted an idea in a recent magazine and thought I would like to try it out, which is to make some tissue boxes. I have used pale orange card stock, a brighter orange card stock, cuttlebug, spellbinders shapes, flowers, card candy, sentiments and 3 lovely images 2 of which I stamped directly on to the pale orange card stock.

Here is the info to make the boxes as follows

Cut a piece of kraft cardstock 16.5cm (6 1/2") square. Score at 2.5cm (1") all around the square. This will be your box lid. Stamp a border stamp onto each edge and colour. Now cut each corner and assemble into the tissue box lid.

Cut two pieces of cardstock 25cm (10") by 13cm (5 1/8"). On both piecs of card, score along the long side at 1.3cm (1/2") and at 12.7cm (5"). Assemble together to make the tissue box base.

Stamp and colour a selection of flowers along the base of the box. Stamp, colour and cut out an image and place at the side of the box. Stamp/peel off and mat a sentiment to the front of the tissue box panel. Decorate with flowers as desired. I have slightly altered mine to add a base and the image of the little girl plus sentiments is on the back as well as the front.

Wk 37 Challenge - Punch it Out

Hi Folks,

As promised my last card of the week is another challenge card where we needed to use punches, I do wish I had used in a way the patterned papers the other way round but there you go.

I have used white card stock to make the rectangle card, purple card stock, lilac card stock, 2 co ordinating patterned papers, gem stones, glitter, sentiments, card candy, cuttlebug, spellbinders shapes cutter, 3 flower punches and a lovely rubber stamp heat embossed iamge called Violet Angel.

Otherall I do like this one just feel it could have been better, well I am off now for the weekend, so until next week, do have a great time, take care and happy crafting, lol

Hi Folks,

What a glorious day it is here too, mind you we have had a few days like this so I have been enjoying my garden watching my own wildlife show in there what with the blackbird, blue tits and dove nests. Ohhhh it should not be long know before the blue tits fledge and with have a lovely little greenfinch and chaffinch that also pops in for the feeders. Mind you some cheeky little bee has made its self a nest under my summer house decking, so that also has been great fun watching all the workers buzzing around my flowers and then popping back to the nest.

With regards to this card I am not so happy with the outcome, feel its a little too dark, should have used the patterned papers the other way round but never mind.

I have used white card stock to make the square card, blue/green card stock, cream card stock, 2 co ordinating patterned papers (be it the wrong way round), edge punch, flower punches, spellbinders shape cutters x 2, ribbon, sentiments, card candy and a lovely digi image.

Yes, I know I said I would not be doing anymore crafting this week, well it rained a bit yesterday so I thought I would have a go with the next challenge.

No Crafting but garden, yeah colours

Hi Folks,

Sorry been taking a rest for crafting, but have been sorting the garden out and have finally removed all the fleeces today as the temperature at night for the rest of the week is not below 8 degrees.

I love to see flowers and colour everywhere especially as it encourages all the wildlife to come in and visit us even those predators who seem to think its a fast food restaurant!

I doubt if I will be doing much crafting the rest of the week and so I will more thank likely be back blogging again after the bank holiday especially as I hoping to go to the Kent Detling Garden Show over the weekend.

Well its Friday again and I have finally got around to doing this next challenge of Loretta's, could not got my mojo working but I decided to put a film on while I gave it ago in help with the creative juices.

I have used white card stock to make the square card, pink and white patterned paper, co ordinating patterned paper with pink and green, pink ribbon, light green card stock, light pink card stock, flowers, brads, sentiments, card candy, gem stones, Martha Stewart Edge Punch, and another of those gorgeous digi images.

I do hope so you like this, am not sure on it, will admit I added more to the layout as it felt too plain for me.

Wk 34 Challenge - Punches

Well Folks,

Here's the last post of the day and its for the challenge of punches on a lovely craft/blog site that I so adore.

So I have used white card stock to make the rectangle card, 2 different coloured card stocks, 2 co ordinating patterned papers, sentiments, flower, brad, card candy, gem stones, glitter, ribbon, X Cut Corner Punch for all the corners, Martha Stewart Edge Punch "Arch Lattice" and the lovely heat embossed stamped image "Making a Wish" which I do so adore. (My hubbie calls this image his little me, because of my name, ohhhh hahahaha!).

Wedding Stationery

Hi Folks,

Thought I would just pop in to show you what I have been working on recently as one of my nieces is getting married next year she has asked me for help with regards to stationery etc.

I have tried to come up with ideas where it is attractive but basic for ease and cost as we all know weddings are expensive. So I came up with the idea of invites being the same as the order of service, just the sentiments and middle of the card different, also keeping the layout basically the same for all the items.

I have used white card stock to make the base of the items with fuchsia fizz card stock and creamy white card stock, fuchsia ribbon and a lovely digi image of a church. I have also used the cuttlebug with spellbinders scalloped shapes and the love hearts embossing folder for the cream card stock for the table seating which is an easel card, also the base of this is where the person's name can be put on, all there is left to do is where the scallop shape is on the left side put the bride and grooms name plus on the right side the wedding date. I have also used the embossing folder on the cream of the card for more effect and have attached a gothic punched sheet of paper in the card which does not show in this picture.

All this is just trial until I show my niece, so you never know what might change and until next time do take care and happy crafting, lol

I do so love these theme but it took me a while to get my head around it, but here goes.

I have used white card stock to make the square card, 2 colours of card stock, 2 co ordinating patterned papers, cuttlebug bug, embossing folders swirls and swiss dots, sentiments, flowers, card candy and a lovely digi image called Natalie which I have coloured with whispers pens and added a touch of glitter to make the mask and dress top sparkle.

Another busy week its seems, I ended up making 7 cards for this challenge and will be showing only 3, my favourite ones. I did start with the one on the next post and as I was so pleased with the effect I tried to make others but was not quite as good as the first, which was strange as I found it very hard. Lost my mojo especially as it was also for another challenge.

2 Birthday Cards

Hi Folks,
Hope you all had a great Easter weekend, weather was good, did some gardening but plenty of relaxing here for me. Visited the seaside on Saturday which was great, blew the cobwebs away I can tell you.
Well I did start 2 cards the tall end of last week and have finally finished them today, but not really certain about the square one as it did not turn out the way I planned but never mind.
I have used a rectangle card for the first one, with 2 co ordinating patterned papers, dark brown card stock, vanilla card stock, flowers, sentiments, card candy, ribbon and one of those lovely digi stamps.
The second one I have used white card stock to make the square card, 2 co ordinating patterned papers, deep pink card stocking, vanilla card stock, flowers, card candy, ribbon, sentiments and another of those lovely digi images.

Challenge Week 31 - Pink and Sweet

Hi Folks,

And its another glorious day, have not been doing much crafting, just enjoying my garden in sunshine, yeah!!! I certainly dont know whats going on with my blog, I keep deleting the extra lines but they keep re appearing, doh!!!

Thought that I would make a card though, decided to have a go at this challenge so I could have a play with a new digi as this is a side of stamping that I am new to.

I have used a white rectangle card, black card stock, pink card stock, 2 co ordinating patterned papers with pink in, 1 pink ribbon, 2 pink buttons, 2 pink flowers, 2 black and white brads, sentiments and a very sweet image coloured with whispers pens and I have added silver glitter to make the image even more angelic.

Also it is one of my favourite layouts and am rather pleased with the whole effect, much better with the glitter than with out, as the pink of the dress seemed too in your face I felt.

What lovely weather we are having and we are set to have a few more days of it yet. This afternoon I thought I better make the brotherinlaws birthday before I forget it!

Mini Easter Egg Boxes

Well Hi there Folks,

Hope this finds you all well, have had a busy weekend playing hubbie's assistant out in the garden, you know what its like as its that time of year to do repairs in the garden ie fence posts /panels and that's what we have been doing, lucky enough the weather held out for us.

But today I decided to make some easter gifts for my nephew and nieces. I have used white card stock to make the square boxes which I have filled with mini eggs of several varities. I have then used dark chocolate and light chocolate card stock, one ribbon, 1 large easter egg stamp heat embossing and coloured in the same chocolate shades, biege flowers and dark brown gem stones.

These I made as a fun idea as, well my nephew and nieces are not really that young and well I thought they might like a few chocs from their daft ole aunt, hahahaha!!

Hi Folks,

Not been doing much apart from lots of heat embossing, trying to get all my images in is way rather than just stamped and have finally just finished all of them at last.

So I have decided that I would try some card making instead for a change and here it is Loretta's recent challenge which is not just the layout but to be Spring coloured theme, girly with a cute stamped image.

As its for a get well card I have used greens, blues, yellows, pinks, white, and red which are the colours of spring flowers with the growth of leaves and grass. I have used a rectangle card, Red Bling Card stock, Pale Pink Card Stock, Green Gingham Patterned Paper, Patterned Paper, sentiments, Pale Pink Ribbon, Gems, Flowers and Brads with a lovely girlie image with a flower.

I am quite happy with the overall effect of this one and hope the receiver will feel much better soon, until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol

Hi Folks,

This is the last post for this week I am afraid and I thought I would do Loretta's challenge for it.

So here it is, I have used white card stock to make a square card, as the challenge was also to use rich warm colours, I have choosen a red coloured card stock, a rich orange coloured card stock both matching the two co ordinating backing papers that I have used. Also I have used two different shades of orange flowers with red brads, 1 orange ribbon, cuttlebug, spellbinders ornate oval shape cutter, spellbinders oval shape cutter and one of my lovely new images which I do so adore, she seems to work with most papers.

I am rather pleased with the overall effect of this one, just have sentiments to put on at a later date. Well until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol

LMC NO 111 & Dream Valley Challenge No 1

Odd for me to be crafting on a sunday I know but hubbie has been working in the hard to install the last part of our kitchen, the cooker and worktop above and around it so I decided to finish this challenge.

I have made four cards for this challenge as I could not decide on what backing paper to have out of the four I picked out.

I have used white card stock to make the square cards, 1 backing paper per card, 2 coloured card stocks per card, 1 ribbon per card, cuttlebug, marianne d ribbon slider, spellbinders ornate scallop oval shape die cut, spellbinders oval die cut, sentiments, gem stones, card candy, flowers and some new images.

Have certainly been busy here, I have made 14 Easter cards using the same layout and have choosen 2 of my favourites to show you.

I have used a previous layout to make it easier, rectangle card, 2 card stock colours per card, 2 co orindating backing papers per card, 1 ribbon per card, flowers, gem stones, sentiments and I have used a lovely Sarah Kay image which has a little chick in it just to make it slightly different from all the other Easter images around.

Hi there folks,

I hope this finds you all doing well, spring seems to be in the air here, the daffs are starting to show, hooray, I love spring time.

Well not been doing much here, generally not been feeling quite myself but on the up again and so have been learning how to heat emboss as never been any good at it but it seems I'm getting there at last, mind you I broke my heat gun and have had to buy another on Monday, twas a bad day that day. If anything could go wrong it did and it seemed to carry on into Tuesday but never mind.

Sorry I dont have anything to show you at the moment as I have just started working on some Easter Cards using some embossed images, so hopefully next week I will have some to show you. Until then do take care of yourselves and happy crafting, lol

4 Male Cards

Not a bad week so far, set myself the task of making 4 male cards, not easy as you well know and whoopee I have made them already, yeah!!!

I have used the same layout for all 4 of them, another of the lovely Loretta's challenges. Trying to take it a bit easier as back has decided to try for another round of trouble, but I am not giving up that easily on my crafting.

So I have decided to have a go at this week's challenge set by Loretta, not an easy one for me, it seems the more simplier they are the harder I find them for some reason.

I have used white card stock to make the square card, pink/lilac shade cardstock, cream cardstock, patterned paper, gem stones, set of 3 flower punches, cuttlebug, embossing folder swiss dots, spellbinders shapes die cut and a lovely Sarah Kay image coloured with whispers pens.

I feel that it looks better at a distance rather than close up, but never mind and I thought the flower punches would make it look much more delicate especially with the sizes. So until next time, most likely next week some time as going to be resting a bit more to try and stop the back going right out on me which is what I have been aiming for , do take care and happy crafting, lol

Evening Purse

Hi Folks,

As promised a little something that I have been working on for one of my lovely niece's as its her birthday shortly. I thought I would make her a little evening bag/purse as she goes out to the under 18's nightclub every so often and I thought it would go greatly with that little black dress.

Here is the info to make this item.

Cutting out. Cut four rectangles of fabric measuring 28x23cm (11x 9inc). If you are using a contrast lining, cut two from the lining and two from the outer fabric ( I have used black velour and purple lining).

Marking the casing. Layout the two main fabric rectangles with the wrong sides up. On each long side, measure and mark 6cm (21/4 inc) and 8cm (31/4in) down from one short edge - this short edge becomes the top edge of the bag. On a patterned fabric make sure the pattern is going in the right direction.

Stitching the outer bag. Place the main fabric rectangles right sides together. Stitch down one side seam to the first casing mark and backstitch. Start stitching again at the second casing mark, securing the stitching by backstitching, and stitch to the base edge. Repeat, for the other side seam. Stitch across the base. Press the side seams open.

Stitching the lining. Place the two lining fabric rectangles together, right sides facing. Stitch both side seams completely and across the lower edge, leaving a 7.5-10cm (3-4 inc) gap. Press the side seams open.

Assembling the bag. Turn the outer bag right side out. Slip the lining over the outer bag, right sides together and matching top raw edges. Stitch all the way round the top edge of the bag.

Turning the bag. Pull the outer bag through the opening in the lining. Slipstitch the gap in the lining closed and push it down inside the bag. Finger roll the top edge flat and press.

Stitching the casing. To draw guidelines for the casing, use tailor's chalk to mark all the way round the bag in line with the top and bottom of casing openings. Slip bag over the free arm of your machine. Stitch along both lines through both the outer bag and the lining.

Adding the drawstrings. Cut two 60cm (24inc) lengths of cord and thread one through one hole, all the way round the casing and out again. Repeat to thread the other piece through the hole on the opposite side and back again. Thread a tassel over each cord (optional). Knot the cords and adjust them so that the knots are hidden inside the casing.

Hi Again Folks,

Here is the next batch of cards completed, I have used a layout that I do love from another crafting member on the docrafts site, I love it so much that I use it as much as I possibly can.

I have used rectangle cards, 2 coloured card stocks per card, 1 backing paper per card, 1 ribbon, sentiments, cuttlebug, spellbinders shapes oval and ornate oval, marianne D creatable ribbon slider and some stamped images.

I do so hope you like these and there is two more batches to come hopefully soon but do have another project on the go which I need first as its going to be a gift but am also trying to take it a bit easier than normal.

Hi Folks,

Gradually getting back to normal with my back and have been doing a little catching up with the cards I started while we had all that lovely white stuff, I still do have 2 more batches to complete but am getting there at least.

I have used another one of Loretta's challenge layouts for this batch of ten but have chosen three to show you. I have used rectangle cards, two coloured cards stocks per card, 2 co ordinating backing papers per card, ribbon, sentiments, images, cuttlebug, spellbinders scallop and ornate scallop die cuts.

I have not used any embellies as was concerned it would be a little overdown otherwise. Off to post the last batch for today, lol

Hi Folks,

I hope this finds you all well, sorry not around much do have lots of cards in various stages, just flipping difficult to work with my back hurting so much so am trying to rest as much as possible and do just a little at a time, so please forgive me, hopefully will be back fighting fit shortly, fingers crossed.

I have managed to make 2 cards for this challenge, 1 is a valentines card for my hubbie and the other is a birthday card.

I have used white card stock to make the square cards, different shades of pink card stock, 2 different backings papers one with butterflies and the other with hearts etc. I have also used various flowers, gem stones, sentiments, 3 ribbons (2 for the birthday card), cuttlebug, embossing folder lovers lane, 2 different images coloured with whispers pens.

Rather a good layout this challenge, certainly got my ole grey cell working and do so hope you like the cards and until next time, hopefully not too long, do take care of yourselves and happy crafting, lol
