LMC No 86

Hi Folks,

Sorry I have not been around for a while, managed to pick up another of those lovely colds/virus, but am much better now the only problem is now after Xmas I have decided I would love a gorgeous Chocolate Coloured Labrador, try finding one!

So I decided to bury myself into crafting this week, I have made 3 cards using the Layout set by Loretta No 86.

I have made one Easter card using white card stock for the square card, 3 different backing papers free in a magazine, 2 shades of orange card stock, 1 ribbon, sentiments and the lovely Magnolia image Tilda Hugging Bunny.

Then I have made 2 Xmas cards, using white card stock for the square card, both cards using the same 2 backing papers, deep red card stock, white card stock, 1 ribbon, sentiments, 3D ponsetta/3d Xmas Tree and 2 lovely images by Pink Gem Designs.

I do so hope you like these cards and until next time, take care and happy crafting, lol

LMC No 85

Welcome back folks,

Wishing you all a Happy New Year, I do hope you have had a lovely time. I have spent lots of time with the family, so nothing else done, well a break did me the world of good.

I have started the crafting today and got off to a flying start, well sort of, 3 cards made so not too bad.

I have used white card stock to make the square cards, purple card stock, red card stock, black card stock, 3 different backing papers(2 xmas and 1 another), gem stones, ribbons, sentiments, buttons/embellishments etc and 3 lovely images coloured with my new water colour pencils (much harder pencils than the first lots that I had). The images are Sugar Nellie Autum Set Girl with Squirrels and the other two I have been given by another lovely crafter.

I do so hope you like these and I have used one as a christmas card (oh no I here you say) but the other two are New Year cards, so until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol

Gift Card Box with Cards

Good Day Folks,

Well its freezing here, with loads of snow and more to come they say, so I decided to do a bit more crafting. Did say I had an idea or two running around my head.

With this idea I have only used exactly what I had in, no buying etc, 1 empty dove gift box, 1 backing paper x 2, 1 ornate double sided gold ribbon, 1 lilac brad, 1 gold elastic band which was with another gift set, gold card stock, lilac card stock, cuttlebug, spellbinders fancy tags, double sided tape and glue and lastly alphabet letters.

I used the empty dove gift box and taped it all together after marking and cutting the lid shape out. then I cut the backing paper to size, using double sided tape stuck it to the box, also lined the lid and bottom with plain white card to cover the alterations. I then made to holes in the front, one on the lid and one lower down, added brad and gold elastic band. Cut out the fancy tag, added the name, glued it to the front of the box, finally I added the ornate gold ribbon around the lid to give an extra boost to the item. Then I made the inside labels and added some cards to complete the gift.

I do hope you like this idea and it shows you can make gifts cheaply with many left overs. Hope you are taking, do keep yourselves safe and warm and until next time, lol

LMC No 84

Hi Folks,

The last challenge and possibly the last post of this year as we are nearing the end of 2009.

This week's challenge I had difficultly with, probably best I have a bit of a break, mind you I still have a couple of ideas floating around that I might get to try yet. I started this week's challenge several times and ended up scrapping some until I got to this one which I am quite happy with.

I have used white card stock to make a square, pale blue mirrored card stock, pale blue card stock, deep red glitter card stock, white card stock, dotted backing paper which is not really christmas paper but looks quite effective for a christmas look especially when I look outside my window to see small snowflakes falling. Also I have used gold sentiments various gem stones, 1 large flower, polka dot brad and a lovely stamped image sent to me by another great crafting friend of my Janette (Little Bo), thank you so very much Janette I adore this image.

So I do hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year, mind you, you never know I might be back before than and just in case I am not around, do enjoy yourselves but also take care and happy crafting, see you soon, lol
