Another Gatefold Card

Hi Folks,

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather, its a bit warm for me, but I am not complaining. I have been working today on another gatefold card.

I have used white card stock for the gatefold card, lilac card stock, backing paper, flowers, brads, sentiments, 1 organza ribbon, cuttlebug, spellbinders tag shape, edge puncher, x cut corner punch and one of those gorgeous girls images called up, up and away.

1) Using two pieces of cardstock cut down to 29.7cm by 17cm. Score at 17cm at one end of each piece.
2) Apply adhesive to the back of one square section of one piece and adhere to the front of the other piece of cardstock; now you have a basic shape gatefold card.
3) Using a roll of tape, shape the top and bottom corner of the flaps of the gatefold card. Mark carefully and lightly with a pencil then cut these sections away.
4) Cover the card with papers. Stamp the image onto cardstock of your choice using ink and colour. Trim, ink the edges and mat onto another piece of cardstock, which has ribbon wrapped around. Adhere topper to card.
5) Cut out shape for sentiments tags, add sentiments, colour edges, layer then punch a hole through the pieces as well as front of card and add with a brad.
6) Flowers and brads for final touches if so wish.

I hope you like this one and until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol

Good Luck Card

Hi Again Folks,

I have made another card for my hubbie to give to a work colleague who has just been told they are being made redundant rather sadly.

I have used a oblong card, backing papers free in a magazine, 2 different blue card stocks, 1 light blue polka dot ribbon, sentiments, cuttlebug, spellbinders scallop shape, various gem stones and a fab car image given to me by another crafting friend.

This is the last card I need to make for this reason, rather sad for the guys but one is just going to retire as he only had about a year left, the other guy hopefully will have another job working for a subcontractor of the firm, fingers and toes crossed for him. And so until next time do take care and happy crafting, lol

Gatefold Birthday Card

Hi Folks,

Hope this finds you all well, I have been enjoying the lovely weather but decided to try another crafting idea which I got from a magazine.

Instructions as follows:
1) Using two pieces of card 29.7cm by 17cm. Score at 17cm at one end of each piece.
2) Apply adhesive to the back of one square section of one piece of cardstock and adhere to the front of the other piece of cardstock; now you have a basic shape gatefold card.
3) Using a roll of tape (I used my corner cutter), shape the top and bottom corner of the flaps of the gatefold card. Mark carefully and lightly with a pencil then cut these sections away.
4) Cut out backing paper for both front sections.
5) Stamp up image and colour, I have used a separate sheet of plain card stock to sit the image on but have shaped the edge and hole punched a pattern further in for more decorate, then added adhesive to the back of the image and attached it to the shaped and hole punch card stock and then added adhesive to that and stuck onto one of the backing papers.
6) Two pieces of ribbon were cut to length, approximately 25cm. Then it was adhered securely under the image and mats.
7) I have added flowers with brads to the two backing papers and adhered one to each front side. Finally the ribbon was tied in a bow and sentiments added to complete.

I do hope you like this and maybe give it a try, so until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol
