Phew what a busy Week I must say!

Well Hi Folks,

Sorry not posted before but had such a busy week dont know where I am.
I started out in the garden at the weekend with my hubbie pruning all the roses, wisteria's etc, feeding them well rotten manure and then jet washing the patio's and decking down (still have the pots to move around but that will be when hubbie is around again). Then on Monday I started in the greenhouse, well the previous weekend my hubbie kindly rebubble wrapped the greenhouse as the other stuff had been in there 3 years and was rather tatty. I have spent many, many hours out there this week trying to catch up as I was at least a month behind with my seeding, but at last I can say I have got up to date in there and all is planted, tidied up etc.
I have also managed to make 7 cards, 4 christmas cards, 2 birthday cards and 1 easter card all using the LMC No 87 layout which I do adore. I will only upload 3 cards, we dont what to keep looking at christmas cards now do we!

The first one is an easter card, I have used white card stock to make a square card, two co ordinating backing papers, lilac card stock, white card stock, 1 ribbon, flowers, gem stones, sentiments and a lovely messy rabbit image which I have been given by another lovely crafting friend.

The second one is a birthday card, I have used white card stock to make a square card, two co ordinating backing papers, pink card stock, black card stock, 1 ribbon, flowers, gem stones, brads, sentiments and a lovely stamped image which I am afraid I do not know the name or make of sadly which I have been given by another lovely crafting friend.

The third and final one is a birthday card, I have used white card stock to make a square card, two co ordinating backing papers, pink card stock, black card stock, 1 ribbon, flowers, gem stones, brads, sentiments and a lovely stamped image by Sugar Nellie (Leanne Ellis I believe) which I have been given by another lovely crafting friend.

I do so hope you like these as I am most pleased with them especially the Sugar Nellie one and until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol

Easel Calendar Cards

Hello Again Folks,

Here's what I have been doing today, 6 Easel Calendar Cards which are for Christmas pressies, yes I have started them early. I have been lucky to receive one of these myself at Christmas time, so that's how I worked them out.

I have used white card stock for the main part, 2 matching backing papers, corner peel offs, cat picture with saying, butterfly and oblong shaped gem stone for body, also will need to add small calendar when purchased these.

Firstly I have taken white card stock, measured 26cm across x 13cm down, cut out and folded 26cm in half and then taken one side on folded that in half (A,top edge in to centre).

Then taken white card stock, measured 13cm x 13cm, cut out and stuck base to of A so when layed all folded up flat all 3 equal squares sit on top of one another.

Then I have measured and cut a little bit smaller square out of both backing papers and stick one on the bottom inside flap and the other to the top outside flap.

Decorate top flap as wish and finally add calendar to middle of bottom inside flap which is how it holds open (base of top flap sits behind the calendar top).

I hope this gives you some ideas and I look forward to viewing more of your ideas, until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol

Well Hello Folks,

I am trying hard to keep myself occupied with crafting as lots to do and wish to make quite a dent it all which will leave me free to enjoy the summer plus I know I will have to soon catch up with my seed plenty at the end of the month.

I have started with Loretta's challenge which I thought might be rather difficult but once I got into it I rather enjoyed myself so much I ended up making four cards and am hoping next week to make another four using this layout as its such an excellent one too.

My first card is a Christmas card of course, I have used white card stock to make the square card, red bling card stock, white card stock, 2 different Christmas backing papers, sentiments, polka dot ribbon, flowers, brads, gem stones and a lovely stamped image by Pink Gems of cat.

My second card is another Christmas card, dont worry they are not all Christmas cards! I have used white card stock to make the square card, pink card stock, white card stock, 2 different Christmas backing papers, flowers, gem stones, sentiments, ribbon and a lovely stamped image by Pink Gems of Sprinkles.

My third card is a Birthday card, I have used white card stock to make the square card, purple card stock, cream card stock, 2 matching backing papers with matching ribbon, sentiments flowers, gems and a lovely image I have been given by another lovely crafting friend of a bear with flowers.

My fourth and finally card is a Wedding Anniversay card, I thought maybe for my hubbie later in the year, I have used white card stock to make the square card, pale pink card stock, black card stock, 2 matching backing papers, ribbon, sentiments, flowers, gem stones and a very romantic image I have been given by another lovely crafting friend of an elderly couple with flowers (such a sweet image).

I do so hope you have liked these ones especially as I am very pleased with how they turned out and until next time do take care and happy crafting, lol

Mini Book Folder

Well Hi Folks,,

Just thought I would drop in quickly to let you know what I have been up to, might be easier to say what I have not been up to really!

I have over a few days been making this mini book as a present for a great crafting friend and I do hope you she likes it.

To make it you will need A)2 pieces 5 1/4" x 3 1/2" (13.3cm x 8.9cm),B) 2 pieces 1"x3 1/2"(2.5cm x 8.9cm), C) 1 piece 2"x3 1/2"(5.1cm x 8.9cm) of chipboard or card also patterned papers/card stocks, envelope template and bits 'n' bobs for decoration.

First you take the chipboard or card, measure and cut out the A,B,C sets of measurements out (5 pieces in total).

Second, stick pieces together going 1 A, 1 B, 1A, 1 B and finally the C. It must be able to bend though, so it can be folded, opened and closed.

Thirdly, cover the out and inside with patterned paper etc.

Fourth, mark and cut out envelope templates anything up to 15 of them, assemble, punch a semi circle from the top of each using a 1" punch.

Fifth, Stick the envelopes back to back gluing only along the centre with a single piece of tape so they form a concertina. Stick to the inside front and back covers of the book.

Lastly decorate how you wish, you could use a brad with ribbon/elastic or magnetic snaps to hold it closed, also you could cut white tags for how many envelopes that you have made and decorate and finally add to envelopes.

I hope you have enjoyed this and maybe will give it a go, you could use it for storing also sorts of things including receipes.

Until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol
