LMC No 60

Well Good Morning Folks,

Today's task was another of those lovely challenges set by Loretta which I so enjoy, but it seems that my mojo has decided not to play and instead has run away also taking concentration with it.

The blue card stock I used did not seem so bright until I added the smaller squares and which has left me very doubtful about the whole card, but there you go its life, have to take the good with the bad. For this I have used white card, 2 shades of blue card stock, 2 xmas patterned backing papers, sentiments, various gem stones, 1 round shaker xmas decoration and cuttlebug embossing folder swiss dots plus snowflakes.

Dont know what you think about this one, will look forward to hearing you views and until next time, do take care especially with this heat, lol

Just Married

Hi Folks,

Here's the first instalment for this week, one of our neighbours got married on saturday and this is the card I made for them, did not turn out quite the way I wanted it to but you can only do your best.
I have used mirrored red card stock, with pink card stock, pink roses backing paper and hearts with crosses backing paper free from a magazine. Then my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder and spellbinders nestabilities swirls die cut. The image is one of the new whiff of joys coloured with whispers strokes pens, sentiments and various gem stones to complete the look.
I hope you like this and until next time, do take care and happy crafting. ps hope you are enjoy this lovely sunshine!

LMC NO 59

Hi Folks,

I thought I would do this week's Loretta Challenge as a new born card for another lovely crafter when their little one is born. This is the reason for the fairly neutral colours rather than the standard pink or blue.

I have used white card stock to make the square card, mum backing paper and little animals backing paper, also pale yellow card stock to keep it neutral along with white hammered card stock, sentiments, various pale yellow gems, 1 small red button and a lovely image by Whiff of Joy called Mother with Toddler, I do know that Whiff of Joy do an image of Mother and Baby but I rather adore this image with the toddler, to me its how a parent and child should be, dreamy and very cuddly.

I hope you like this one and until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol.

DB Dutch Notebook Challenge

Hi Folks,

Hope this finds everyone well, I thought I would just quickly upload this old challenge that I have recently made as I am using these for Christmas Gift Boxes. You will find the picture is of a Tea Bag/Bath Salths Holder (Info on how to make this on prev Blog) and a Notebook.

Instructions from the Double Dutch Challenge Blogspot.

The measurements of this notebook cover are for an A6 notebook. You can make another size of course, just change the measurements.

1) Cut a strip of cardstock of 15 x 25cm

2) Score at 11, 12 and 13cm and fold on the scorelines

3) Now fold the cover in half on the center scoreline (the back of the cover is now 1cm wider than the front, that's how it's supposed to be)

4 )Cut 1cm up to the next scoreline at 5 and 10cm

5) Fold the cardstock so that the center part comes out (this is for the pen)

6) Stick the parts that are folded in down on the back cover (which is now the same size as the front)

7) Stick a strip of scrap paper over the top of the notebook

8) Stick the notebook inside the cover

9) Embellish to your heart's content!

I hope you give this a try and until next time, do take care and happy crafting, lol

Youngest Niece's Birthday card

Hi there Folks,

This is what I made this morning as its my youngest niece's birthday on 6th July.

I have used a free backing paper that I received in a magazine, 2 shades of pink card stock, pink gingham ribbon, 3 pink buttons, prima pink flowers with brad, various gemstones, cuttlebug embossing folder swiss dots and of course the obvious gorjuss girls image Little Miss Attitude, which is my niece in everyway except the hair colour which as many say should be strawberry blonde. I could not resist buying this image as it is so much my youngest niece that every time I see it I end up thinking of the little tike!

I hope you like this one and until next week as I am having a longer break and will not be crafting until Tuesday due to the fact I have the dreaded H work to do, plus I am going for a day out on Saturday as a Birthday treat, a little bit early but its on Monday and well I am going to my favourite coast which has a market on Saturdays. So I will be back on Tuesday to announce the winners of my blog candy in celebration of my birthday which you have until Monday evening if you wish to try your luck. Until next week then, do take care and have a weekend, happy crafting too, lol

LMC NO 58

Hi Folks,

I hope this finds you all well, taking it a bit easy this week like last week as still recovering from this lovely cold, but never mind.

I have tried this challenge from another wonderful crafter called Loretta on the Do Crafts site and yes I know another crimbo card, I am sorry can not help it. Made one square card from Lilac card stock, added lilac and white patterned backing paper, then a deeper shade of lilac card stock with another patterned backing paper. Used the deeper lilac card stock again with a lighter shade for the sentiments section and for the small square section with the snowflake on, used a punch for the circle section the two shades of lilac. Finally I have added a Miss Snow Anya which have been coloured with Whispers strokes pens and to complete the look I have added a few gems.

I hope you like this but I did not notice something until it was too late and I think it should be called spot the deliberate mistake or not, can you see it. So until next time, do take care, lol
