My Gorjuss Girls Cards & Gifts Book

Hi Folks,

I thought today I would make something for myself as I make cards and gifts for others and never for myself.

So my task was to cover my notebook that I have recently started for all my cards, layouts, designs, challenges and gifts. I started this book because I have lots of paper with information on and decided it would be easier to have all this in one place.

I have used 4 Sugar Nellie Images of Gorjuss Girls Set 2 as I really love these so much and it is easy to turn these into Gothic especially as one is already a goth girl. Anyone who really knows me would say I am a goth, not to look at these days but when I was much younger you could tell by the black clothes and punkish hair styles but working in an office for over 20 years caused the change to sensible I suppose but I still love my horror films. Enough though I am a goth I still love all sorts of music from punk to rock, heavy, pop, classical, folk, country and even opera. I am very lucky to have found a guy with similar tastes, soo similar at times its scary. In fact our home is based on a black and white theme with my other favourite colours, lilac and purple, yes I know I was born in the flower power years but am not a flower power person unless its outside as I am a very keen gardener and that includes bunches of flowers, I would rather have a plant to go outside like a rose bush.

So that explains my reason for such a deliberate taste in decoration, I have used Guardian Angel, Little Goth Girl, Flower Girl, Untamed, all fairly obvious why I chose them. I have then put them on lilac and purple card stock, then onto white card stock and also have used my cuttlebug embossing folder swiss dots for more of an effect and added a strip with words on the same colour scheme and glued this onto the front sheet of my book. To decorate I have added a black ribbon with white polka dots, coloured all images in with Whispers Strokes Pens keeping to the black and purple colours. I have to complete the look added lilac/purple silk flowers with black brads and added clear gem stones to dresses and corners of card and so completes my project.

I hope that you like this and maybe might give you some inspiration to try this type of project. Until the next blog, do take care and happy crafting, lol
